Shawdon Homes

Shawdon Homes is a family run company founded in 2018 by three brothers; Alastair, Callum and Cameron Shaw. The name Shawdon is derived from our family surname Shaw but has a deeper back story.

House building is something that runs in our family and the inspiration to start this company began with our Grandad, Edward Shaw. Although not a builder by trade, he had a dream to build his own house in his hometown of Sheffield. Giving up his evenings and weekends he set about this mission with the knowledge he needed coming only from books borrowed from the local library. Three years later his vision had become a reality and he proudly named the house 'Shawdon'. By naming our company Shawdon Homes we hope to follow in his footsteps.
